Whether it’s lunch at a favorite spot on Grand Avenue or a competitive game of chess in the Cathedral Hill Library, Seven Hills Senior Living offers a wide variety of activities and life enrichment programs for our residents. Our balanced array of activities are chosen to promote the physical and mental well-being of our residents, helping them grow, connect, move and create at their own pace through dynamic activity involvement.
Seven Hills Senior Living celebrates community life with a variety of engaging activities and events that promote fellowship, learning, volunteerism, artistic expression and connections with the wider community. Program Details
Programs are scheduled 7 days per week for leisure and recreational enjoyment. Transportation is available Monday through Friday.
It’s not uncommon to find residents singing and dancing along with local entertainment during an afternoon social, or discussing current events with other residents in the Community Room or Library. With a bus available for scheduled transportation and a lively arts scene in the Twin Cities, the residents at Seven Hills Senior Living have the opportunity to attend performances at: the Guthrie Theater, Minnesota Orchestra, Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, Minnesota Arboretum, Minnesota Historical Society, The Ordway Theatre, and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra.

After completing 5 benches for the community, Our woodworkers have been learning how to use a scroll saw! They've been practicing different cuts with it and this week a few of them cut out and worked on some fun fall projects.

We enjoyed our trip to Aamodt's Apple Farm this week! We had an absolutely beautiful day to be outside, enjoying the orchard, the adorable animals, the tasty treats, and of course the good company!

Did you know today is World Mental Health Day? We have a variety of activities to help treat mental health conditions in our residents. One of them being exercise. Did you know we have exercise 5x a week? Today, Christy our Life Enrichment Director, led exercise with our residents.

Moving to a new community can be hard. Maybe you moved from another state to be closer to family. Maybe you've lived in your home for decades. You have to adjust to new surroundings, pack and then the process of unpacking. Maybe you have to downsize. You have a lot of new people to meet.
There are lots of resources out there to help, and we'll be with you the whole way! We had our new neighbor meet and greet, an opportunity to let new residents meet existing residents, ask questions, and get to know the community!

Music therapy interventions can address a variety of healthcare & educational goals including to Promote Wellness, Manage Stress, Alleviate Pain, Express Feelings, Enhance Memory, Improve Communication, Promote Physical Rehabilitation, and much more!

Can he fix it? YES he can! 🔨 Meet Louis, Director of Maintenance at Seven Hills. If you have been to Seven Hills, you will see Louis running around the building making sure the residents maintenance is being completed immediately! Seven Hills is lucky to have such a prompt maintenance guy!

Check out What's Happening in October at Seven Hills! We have a month full of Fall and Halloween Fun! There is an apple tasting, costume contest Halloween Party, Crafts, Going to the Apple Orchard, Parties, Trunk or Treat, music, and so much more! Keep an eye on the weekly schedule for the Fall Leaf Tours! Christy will keep an eye on the leaves and plan for a day that we'll have beautiful fall views to see!

We had a delicious lunch at Gabe's Neighborhood Bar & Kitchen this week! We drive by the restaurant all the time and we decided it was past time to try them out. Not only was the food wonderful, but we had amazing service as well!

What's your favorite thing about fall??
We love the changing colors of the leaves, the pumpkin and apple flavored food and drinks, and some of us like the cooler weather.

Have you met Melissa yet? Melissa is out Sales Director at Seven Hills! Melissa’s bright☀️ personality and loud laughter was a welcoming vibe to our leadership team in January! Melissa is your go to person if you are looking to move into Seven Hills or wanting information about Seven Hills!

We were able to get one last boat trip out with Bear Boating of White Bear Lake, MN this month! It is always great to be on the water, and we had a great time hearing about the areas around the lake and their history! Thanks Bear Boating for all you do, not just for our residents, but for all the people you bring joy to on the boat trips!

Safety first! Today, we practiced a total evacuation of Seven Hills, including a handheld stop sign and orange vests to escort residents across the street to safety! Everybody enjoyed a nice freezee while waiting for the all clear!

SHOUT OUT 🎉to our amazing winners Angela and Tina! We had over 50 Shout outs in 2 weeks of having our new Shout out board! Residents, families and Residents Assistants all recognized each other, leadership, housekeeping staff, concierge and dining staff for all the amazingness that each and every person is! Keep the shout outs coming and watch for next months winners!!
