Our Neighborhood
A city with that charming small-town feel, St. Paul is revered for its a strong sense of community, safe neighborhoods, and historic character — truly an ideal setting for the Seven Hills Senior Living community.
Numerous local amenities, including the charming beauty of Cathedral Hill, the shops and restaurants on vibrant Grand Avenue, and the natural beauty of the Mississippi River trails, make the Ramsey Hill location absolutely ideal. The local area provides a full range of dining options, including favorite fast causal spots, familiar neighborhood cafes and elegant restaurants, to the wide diversity of Asian fare along University Avenue. Residents will also find supermarkets, retail shops, banks, art galleries, golf courses, medical facilities, and beautiful parks just a short walk or drive away.
Historically, Ramsey Hill was home to several great historical figures, including James J Hill and F. Scott Fitzgerald. The neighborhood is filled with beautiful remnants of the empire-building years of the late 19th-century. In 1890, when the Selby streetcar route was developed, it ran every 3 minutes at peak times, along a newly established commercial route. This period marked the greatest boom in residential and commercial construction, and the beautiful charm of this period lives on along the tree-lined Selby Avenue.
