With the weather getting cooler, we thought it was a great opportunity to check out the Como Park Zoo & Conservatory! It was such a beautiful trip, fall flowers, fruit from around the world, and we were there for the one week of the Ikebana Flower show! Everyone was so happy we went!

Most salespeople know that putting an event together takes planning, coordination, and there are many moving parts. But planning an event for people who themselves plan events requires even more attention to detail — being meticulous and striving for perfection in every aspect. From having enough garbage cans (with signs!) to the right amount of seating, beautiful decorations, delicious food and drinks, giveaways, a spotless building, strong representation, clear information, and of course, the perfect guest list — every detail matters.
For our "Friendsgiving" event yesterday it took the collaboration of maintenance, food service, housekeeping, leadership, other Great Lakes Management Sales Directors and our residents, who joined in the celebration by enjoying a special happy hour at our Piano Lounge on the 2nd floor — complete with entertainment from our very own Life Enrichment Director, Christy.
While organizing an event like this can be time-consuming and, at times, a little taxing, what made it all worthwhile was the opportunity to show appreciation to those we respect and admire — the people who dedicate themselves every day to caring for others, just as we do.
Yes, we may be competitors, but we’re also human beings who share a common purpose: to serve, to support, and to connect. That’s why our team wanted to host a "Friendsgiving" — to honor our “competitors and vendors" who are, in truth, our friends.
Seven Hills thanks all of you who attended and we especially thank you for the work you do!

We made homemade bread then enjoyed it while sharing memories about our families. One of our resident's grandmother had 18 children!! We talked about how we don't know a lot of families that are that large anymore.

What an amazing community we have at Seven Hills Senior Living! Our bi-annual clothing drive was a huge success! We had so many donations, our Life Enrichment Director had to take the bus to bring them to Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities!

Fall is a great time for exploring different recipes for and types of Root Vegetables! Our Life Enrichment Director presented Daikon Radish and carrots in a Japanese pickle recipe, a simple but tasty Parsnip soup, a Parmesan Baked Rutabaga side, a Korean slow cooked daikon and chicken wing dish, and Beet Brownies! 😋
